Introducing the Author

Thank you, dear WordPress Staff for having the kind nature to write me a default post for this new site.  I really do appreciate it…except for the fact that it was written to me and not to a direct audience – I don’t write blogs to me because if I were indeed writing for myself, I wouldn’t be publishing the piece of writing on the dreaded Internets for all to see and read.  If I were to do that, I would be opening my inner self to public critique, setting myself up on an ivory pedastal and screaming at the world.

“BEHOLD!” I would cry at the top of my lungs, like a public speaker addressing Armageddon, “I have made a blog!  Again I say, BEHOLD!  Take every letter of every word I type and tear it apart to analyze the every last emotion and thought I possess.  BEHOLD CRUEL WORLD!  Take me and do with me as you will!”

No.
No, that’s not my intention.  My intention, as the authority and author of this blog, is to write to you, the current reader.  My purpose is to entertain or to make a point, and if I so choose, to convict.  I am my own.  Although I might have dissuaded you from it already, I now encourage you to leave comments on what I write.  After all, how should I take my current ability and advance it without the criticism of others?

Know that I appreciate you, my readers.  Thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to come and read the ramblings I’m sure to give.
